Not sure what to say?

I am so saddened to hear of Bert’s passing which I just now found out about. Bert worked many years for me as a surveyors’ Rodman. We would often be out surveying somewhere in Marin County and he would find what looked like a random rock to me but later became a carved masterpiece. His talent as an artist was beyond belief. Bert May your joy be complete in the glory of His presence.

Bert was such a kind and welcoming man, and Christian husband to Ann. Her stories and brags of Bert have been ongoing! Hugs to you, Ann!

So blessed our paths crossed, his laugh and smile will not be forgotten ❤

To Ann, their children, and their children’s children — my heart breaks for you. The news came to me today of Bert’s passing, and I was moved by my remembrances of him with his family, or in his workshop, or in church where he was filled with Spirit and walked in respect amongst the men. It is a moving thought indeed that, despite the length of time not seeing someone you once knew, what one remembers is the goodness of their soul and character traits one should cultivate in bettering...

We were grade school kids in Goshen N.Y. I remember his mother and father and buddy sat for his brother Jim. His father had the Buick dealership and also sold OPEL cars if anyone remembers the OPEL car. I also spent some time with Bert on the cape. I have a picture of us and another friend building a fort from hay bales I would love to find. I would post it. I haven't seen Bert in a long time but today I would only wish him peace.

I just turned to Bert‘s passing today. I’m sorry I missed services. He was truly an unforgettable character. his perspective and his artist eye were truly remarkable. I’m confident that he is joyfully experiencing the company of Jesus and I will look forward to seeing him again. I pray for God‘s comfort for his family. i’m grateful for his friendship and faith and his determination to end well. well done, my friend

I dearly love this brother and his family and look forward to having a great discussion with Bert as we sit together on the foundation step of heaven which bears John’s name a disciple we both love, imagine what Bert is doing right now, hallelujah! I’ll be driving down into Mexico on the fifth of April but there in Spirit God bless you Ann, Love Gordon and Petra Magee

Our thoughts are with the family and friends at this time.

Bert's Obituary

Those who have known Bert’s story can attest to the fact that he lived a remarkable life and died a remarkable death. He was diagnosed with kidney cancer in 2000 and his medical journey lasted for twenty-five years. Appreciating the art of “tumor humor”, Bert often quipped that...
