Berta Gabree

I met Berta in 1970, she & her husband lived on base at McCord AFB, WA. My 2 children & I were living off base. It was a difficult time My husband had just left for what turned into 19-month isolated tour in Taiwan. Berta offered friendship. Our children were near in age. Over the years we lost touch, but I will always remember her for her warm compassion & friendship

Berta was one of the first people I met when I moved to the Hidden Oaks neighborhood in 2011. She was out walking every day and I had many conversations with her. Such a wonderful, friendly woman.
