Berta “Big Barbie” Garcez, born April 18, 1941, in Eagle Pass, Texas went to be with the Lord on May 16, 2023, at the age of 82. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard Castillo; parents, Gabino and Paula Garcez; brothers, Tom Garcez, and Frank Garcez; sisters, Juanita Garcez, Reynalda Guerra, Leonor Martinez, San Juana Garcez, and Bonnie Avila.
She is survived by her loving daughter, Brenda Lisherness and husband Mike Lisherness; brothers, Juan Garcez, Esteban Garcez, Raymond Garcez, and Lorenzo Garcez and wife Minga; grandchildren, Sirena Perez, and John Berger; great grandchildren, Jeremie Perez Jr., Adelina Perez, and James Perez; numerous nieces and nephews. Her presence in our lives will be dearly missed.
