Beth Ann Lynn, 73
of Dawson (Lower Tyrone Township) passed away at 8:20 pm Monday, October 20, 2025 in Highlands Hospital, Connellsville. Beth was born on December 20, 1951 in Connellsville, a daughter of the late Jesse Leroy and Ellen Sloan (Campbell) Keffer. She was married to James Edward Lynn for 32 years prior to his passing on December 21, 2018.
Beth was a devoted wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister, and aunt. She graduated from Connellsville Area High School with the Class of 1969 and received an Associates Degree in Special Education from Penn State University at Fayette Campus. Beth was employed for 20 years as a Paraprofessional with Intermediate Unit #1 and was a columnist for the Tri-Town Community for many years. She enjoyed sitting on her porch watching wildlife, feeding her birds and fish, crocheting, and spending time with her family. She was known as the family babysitter and the “Community Mother”.
Beth will be sadly missed by her loving family; her four children, James Chaney of Dawson, Jesse Lynn (Belinda) of Vanderbilt, Earl Lynn of Dawson, and Emma Jean Lynn (Leroy) of Dawson; her 10 grandchildren, Trista Geary, Michaela Jo Hall, Amanda Kimmick (Alex), Alexis Stenger (Corby), Colt Hall, Colby Himes, Levi Chaney, and Daniel, Collin, and Jacob Lynn; her two great grandchildren, Savior and Marley; her sister, Doris Henry (Ron) of Rockwood; and numerous nieces
and nephews. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by her great grandson, Isaiah Burton; her daughter, Annette Chaney; her infant brother, James Keffer; and her sister, Jessica Chambers.
Personalized arrangements are under the professional supervision of the RALPH GALLEY FUNERAL HOME, 501 RAILROAD STREET, DAWSON (www.fergusonfunerals.com). Family and friends will be received from 2-4 & 6-8 PM Tuesday and from 10-11 AM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel followed by funeral services at 11 AM Wednesday with Pastor Bryan Kelley officiating. Chapel committal service and interment will be in Dickerson Run Union Cemetery. A memorial service will be conducted by the Dawson Volunteer Fire Department at 7 PM on Tuesday in the funeral Home.
