Betty's Obituary

     Betty Joe Justice, 93, of Ransom, KY, passed away Wednesday morning, October 22, 2025, at Pikeville Medical Center, surrounded by her loving family.     Betty was born February 8, 1932, at Hardy, KY, the daughter of the late Bradley Scott and Nancy Coleman Scott.  She was also preceded in death by her loving husband, Homer Justice and four brothers, Burlen, Stirl, Dave and John Scott.  Betty was a homemaker and a member of the Primitive Baptist Church.     Betty is survived by her children, Daphne Nancy (Barry) Maggard of Ransom, KY, and Rocky Brian Justice (Bonnie Chatman) of Dunlow, WV; one loving sister, Bobbie Jean Smith of Wilmington, NC; two grandsons, Zachary Michael (Meghan) Maggard and Kevin Eugene Maggard of Ransom, KY; five great grandchildren, Paisleigh, Lilly, Lenny, Mason and Maddie; special brother and sister-in-law, Ernie and Ann Justice of Hardy, KY, and a host of other loving family and friends.     Betty's visitation will be held Friday, October 24, 2025, from 6 - 10 PM at the Samaria Primitive Baptist Church, Ransom, KY, with special services at 7 PM.  Funeral services will follow on Saturday, October 25, 2025,at the church beginning at 11 AM with Raymond Stanley, Randall Thornsbury, Mike Elswick, Jeff Dotson and Shawn Dotson officiating.  Burial will follow in the Alley Cemetery, Ransom, KY, with Zachary Maggard, Kevin Maggard, Mitchell Justice, Roger Scott, Phillip Justice and Jeffery Justice serving as pallbearers.  Dinner will follow after the funeral at the church and everyone is invited.
