Not sure what to say?

Betty was a wonderful person. I had the privilege of speaking with her several times about our common ancestry. My name is Robert Frangenberg and I am Betty's first cousin. I visited her in Le Mars a few years ago and learned more about our family. Her mother and my father were brother and sister.
My sympathies for all of her family. You lost a very special person.
Robert Frangenberg

I will miss her. She was a very sweet person. Sorry for your loss.

Betty was a wonderful friend through e-mail research when I did Genealogy on our Alesch family history. She was always so diligent about helping me find answers to the history of my relatives in the area. I never met Betty but I felt I had a good friend and knew her well. I just found her obituary in reading the Le Mars Sentinel today, at the very moment that her funeral service began in Le Mars. I think we are still in touch!
Sincerely, Mary K. Alesch Buffington, 609 St. Thomas...

sorry to hear about your loss

Sweet, sweet Aunt Betty, you have always been there for the happiest of times and the saddest of times.
Thank you for being such a caring, giving person in so many peoples lives. I remember visiting when we were young. It was always something to look forward to. You are now one of or guardian angels.

Love, Jane & Fred Mar

Had the chance to serve with both John and Betty while on the Plymouth county museum board and as a volunteer for the museum there was no greater couple then both of them Prayers to the family.

Jon and I are so sorry for the passing of your mother. You and your family are in our thoughts and prayers.

We at the Plymouth County Historical Museum can never repay Betty and John for all they did to help at the Museum for so many years. They were especially known for their genealogical research; many families in the Plymouth County area and beyond are indebted to them. In addition, they were tireless workers for the Museum in their effort to help save Plymouth County history. Their memorial bench on the front lawn and the Betty and John Winterringer Genealogical Research Collection on second...

Aunt Betty was kindness embodied. I remember her tidy home, the breakfast nook & stowaway burners, idividually wrapped fudge walnut brownies ,how she referred to women as "Gals", her typed Christmas letters, her being the heart of family reunions. Betty gave us a lovely written peice called "Memories of Ev", about our mother. A warm, loving person.
