RIP Mrs. Demar, many condolences to her family and friends. Growing up it seemed like she was always around our house especially with her youngest children, visiting with her sister Mrs. Amedeo. We don’t realize in those moments, but it’s those times, which are the actual fabric shaping our lives as children.
Finally reunited with her husband may they will watch from above over all that they created
Great people

Obituary

Beverly's Obituary

It is with great sadness that the family of Beverly Eunice DeMar announce the passing of our beloved matriarch on October 31, 2025 while under the care of Hospice of Jefferson County. Beverly passed peacefully at the age of 94 while surrounded by her adoring family.

Born Beverly Eunice Netto on August 3, 1931 in Watertown, New York, she was the eldest daughter of Francis and Leona (Dailey) Netto. She was educated locally and attended Watertown High School.

Beverly married the love of her life, Francis R. DeMar, on May 1, 1949 at Saint Anthony's Church in Watertown. Together with her husband, Beverly raised seven children: Cynthia (James) Lee, Redwood; Karen (Bruce) Beach, Collins Landing; Lynn (Dennis) Parker, Watertown; Susan (Jerry) Corbett, Keesville; Lori DeMar, Watertown; Randy DeMar, Watertown, and Todd DeMar, Evans Mills. Beverly is survived by her sister Donna (Netto) Amedeo, South Pine, N.C. as well as numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and great-great grandchildren.

To Beverly, family was everything and she dedicated her life to them, her many friends, her church, and her community. A friend to all, everyone was welcome in her home, and everyone had value and worth to her; she could find the good in anyone. Beverly was a true giver who made constant sacrifices in her own life to make the life of others better, and she did.

When her children were young, Beverly was a Scout-leader and was active in many activities. She was a member of the Italian American Civic Club and the Elks Lodge. She liked to garden and do crafts, enjoyed cooking and baking, loved cats, and enjoyed doing anything with her family.

Beverly will be reunited in heaven with her Husband, Francis, her parents Francis and Leona, her brothers James and Davis and her grandson Keith DeMar who all pre-deceased her.

Arrangements are with Reed and Benoit Funeral Home in Watertown. Services for Beverly will be held on Friday, November 7 at Saint Anthony's Church at 10:30 with burial to follow at Glenwood Cemetery. Following the services, a reception will be held at the Italian American Civic Association, 192 Bellow Ave.

In lieu of flowers, donations, in her honor, can be made to Hospice of Jefferson County, who provided loving and compassionate care to her during her brief stay there. We are sincerely grateful to them and to the many special people who cared for her while a resident at Samaritan Summit Village.
