Beverly's Obituary

    Williamsport - Beverly Ann (Nickles) Kerst, 77, Williamsport, passed away in the Ascension St. Vincent Williamsport Hospital, on Monday, May 26, 2025 at 12:31 a.m.    Beverly was born in Paris, Illinois, on June 5, 1947.  She was the daughter of the late Ray and Julia (Hubbard) Nickles.  Beverly was raised in West Lebanon and attended Seeger Memorial High School.  She has resided in Williamsport since 1963.    Beverly worked for 36 years as a CNA, QMA and Supervisor at the Woodland Manor Nursing Center in Attica until her retirement.    Beverly loved and adored her family, always finding time to attend her grandchildren’s sporting events and functions.  She enjoyed attending stock car races at the Chase Speedway near Boswell.  She liked to work in her rock garden at home.  She enjoyed the beach and shopping.    On October 5, 1963, Beverly married William L. Kerst in Hillsboro, IN.    Beverly leaves behind her husband, William of nearly 62 years along with their three children, Wendy (Robert) Ransom; John “Wally” (Robin) Kerst and Willie (Tasha) Kerst, all of Williamsport; three sisters, Kathy Price, Portland Arch; Connie (Keith) Sillery, Thorntown, IN and Loretta (Melvin) Bryant, Strunk, KY; eight grandchildren, Lacey (Jeremy) Sturgeon, Kasey (Nathan) Pruitt, Wally J. (Laiken) Kerst, Autumn Madary, Alexis (Justin) Brummett, Hunter (Drew) Wilson, Mallory (fiancé-Loren Woolwine) Kerst and Billy Kerst; 18 great-grandchildren, Trayson, Hollyn, Kiyah, Brycen, Gatlin, Ryatt, Dolly, Addyson, Avery, Alanna, Kaden, Gavin, Clara, Drake, Easton, Sage, Hazel and Wyatt.  She was preceded in death by an infant son and daughter, Billy and Molly Kerst; a grandson, Robert Chance Ransom; three brothers, William, James and Robert Landis along with a sister, Donna Batchelor.    Friends may call at the Maus Funeral Home, Attica, on Friday, May 30th from 11:00 a.m. until the service time at 1:00 p.m. with Pastor David Adams officiating.  Burial will follow in the Highland Cemetery, Williamsport.  Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer CLL (Cancer, Lymphoma, Leukemia).
