It Saddens Me To Hear Of Bill's Passing. I Went All Through School With Bill, Always The Best Of Friends. Bill Was A Gentle Giant. And Bill Touched Many Many Lives In His Life, A Kind Hard Working Man, Full Of Life And Had A True Heart Of Gold. Rest In Peace My Friend

I will never forget you Bill. I really enjoyed your stories about mowing our yard when I was a child of Anthoston. Love always my friend and former boss at Thorntons.

Donna, we are thinking of you and praying for you. I never seen Bill without a smile. He was a great man. At Kids Time he thought of all the kids of his own. We will miss you.

William Houston “Bill” Fambrough, Jr., 61, of Henderson, Kentucky, went on to glory to be with his heavenly Father on Sunday, September 26, 2021, doing what he enjoyed most which was spending time with some of his closest loved ones while in Panama City, Florida.
Bill was of the Baptist faith. A native of Henderson, he was a big teddy bear with an infectious laugh and huge smile. Bill loved his family and friends more than life itself. He enjoyed camping at Kentucky Lake Indian Point Camp Ground where he could be found almost every weekend enjoying time with his Indian Point family. Bill loved car shows, going to Mecum Auctions, drag racing, UK basketball, and Dallas Cowboys football. He was huge fan of Henderson County Colonels football attending games almost every Friday night with some of his dear friends. He and his lifelong friends could be found in the fall making their annual burgoo and donating the proceeds to various charitable organizations. Bill was a Manager at D&M Grocery on Clay Street and then General Manager at Thorntons developing a family relationship with the Thorntons crew and his customers. He was a very proud 2012 General Manager of the Year for Thorntons. For 25 years, he was co-owner of Kids Time Preschool & Childcare where he could be seen almost every day sharing his hugs and love with all the children who knew him as Mr. Bill.
He was preceded in death by his parents, William H. Fambrough, Sr., and Ann Fambrough; his sister, Mattie Collins; and an infant brother, William Albert Fambrough.
Survivors include his lifelong partner and significant other of 30 years, Donna Francis-Fambrough of Henderson, Kentucky; one sister, Tonya Axton of Henderson, Kentucky; nephews and nieces, Michael D. Jewell, Donald Wayne Haralson (Shelly), Pamela Proctor, Israel Hernandez, Jordan Hernandez, Robby Proctor, and Amanda Francis; great-nieces and nephews, Peyton G. Stone, III, Jayden M. Jewell, Allysa N. Proctor, Lilly Haralson, and Ally Haralson; aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Services will be at 2 p.m. Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at Rudy-Rowland Funeral Home. Bill’s close friend, Brother Gary Shoulders, will officiate. Burial will be in Roselawn Memorial Gardens.
Visitation will be from 3 p.m. to 7 p.m. Monday, October 4, 2021, and 8 a.m. until service time Tuesday, October 5, 2021, at the funeral home.
