Not sure what to say?

The older I get the more my childhood memories make me smile. The Cusick family, 10 of us, or less, would pack camping gear and go on a long trip during summer. We would stop at Lenkers hog farm, raise a tent and camper on the front lawn. I was always excited to see all the babies, collect eggs, and the best was to cut grass with Bills riding mower. Aunt Mildred assigned me to clean her multiple cases of salt_pepper shakers. Wow!! What a job! Then when the corn came in, we would begin...

Bill was such a fun guy. It was always a pleasure to visit with him. He had a great laugh. He was a dedicated member of the Tri County Community Band for many years. I'm pretty sure he was the oldest member for a number of years. It was a sad day when he was no longer able to play, but even when he could no longer make the music, he still came to listen, which made us all happy. I won't forget him.

I am so grateful for the summers I spent on his farm with my siblings. I learned the importance of work and enjoyed Bill's laughter as he was always kidding with us! I will never forget that I helped revive a pigglet during a pigging that summer. Hi dad, Clarence was my Grandpa Duffe's cousin.

Cheryl and I are deeply saddened by Bill's passing. Every time we would see him when we were in Wilton, we had great friendly conversations, how could you not with Bill. I am smiling just writing this memorial. Rest in Peace, friend.

BILL and I played trombone in the Wilton LEGION band. Parades and LEGION CONVENTION S.
