TREMONT - Bill L. Williams passed quietly after a brief illness on October 7, 2025. Born December 26, 1930, in New Castle, Pennsylvania, Bill joined the U.S. Air Force after high school spending time on Iwo Jima before serving in the Korean conflict. He returned to western Pennsylvania after serving where as a private pilot he enjoyed flying his various airplanes. He was known for his mechanical aptitude and founded a custom engineering and fabrication business but he never lost the love of the ocean he gained while in the Pacific. After retiring he sailed the eastern seaboard and the Caribbean while living on his sailboat for 10 years. He finally returned to land settling in Tremont, Mississippi, where he enjoyed spending time with his family and friends. Bill will be missed by a daughter, two sons, numerous grand-children and great-grandchildren, nieces, two step daughters and son, and many friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Maria Potts Williams; two brothers, George and Henry; and two sisters, Elizabeth and Margaret.
Bill's family will honor his wishes with no formal services to be held. McNeece-Morris Funeral Home of Fulton is honored to serve the Williams family.
Condolences may be shared with the family at www.mcneecemorrisfuneralhome.com.
