Beatrice J. Klunder, age 85, went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, September 23, 2025. Bea was known for her cooking and baking skills; her family looked forward to a birthday treat of their choice every year. She also was an incredible seamstress having made both her daughter's wedding dresses, their bridesmaids dresses, pajamas for the grandkids at Christmas and countless other items over the years. Her granddaughters remember sewing and baking lessons with grandma. Bea was a devoted fan of all her grandkids and made it a priority to attend as many of their sporting events and various other activities that she could. She adored all of her great grands and they lovingly called her Grandma Great. Bea was preceded in death by her husband, Herm; daughter, Pam Kleinheksel; sister, Tressa and Vern DeMann; brothers-in-law, Gordon and Garrietta Klunder, Elmer and Hilda Miedema; sisters-in-law, Marian Vander Jagt, Faith Beyer. She will be lovingly remembered by her children, Greg and Shelley Klunder, Jack and Wendy Klunder, Sue and Joel Broersma; along with John (Mary) Kleinheksel; her grandchildren, Luke and Jessica Ulberg, Alaina and Cameron Anderson, Lindsey and Blake Schrebe, Alex and Kendra Klunder, Angie and Ken Reeves, Colton and Samantha Klunder, Amanda and Nick Woltjer, Johnny and Delia Kleinheksel, Kellie and Cam Tilma, Heidi and Karl Atkins, Micah and Annie Broersma; 15 great-grandchildren with two more on the way; many special nieces, nephews, cousins, and treasured friends; brothers-in-law, Rog VanderJagt, Rog Beyer. The family welcomes visitors on Friday, September 26th, from 10 to 11:45 a.m., prior to the service at First Byron Christian Reformed Church, 8541 Byron Center Ave., Byron Center, 49315. The service will begin at 12 noon with Rev. Richard Hartwell and Rev. Jean Gomes officiating. The service will be live-streamed and can be viewed by going to First Byron Christian Reformed Church's YouTube page https://www.youtube.com/@firstbyroncrc1089. Interment will be in Winchester Cemetery. Memorial contributions in memory of Bea may be made to Sunset Association.
