In Loving MemoryBillie F. TaysonMay 30, 1928 September 15, 2012 Billie Fern Tayson, 84, passed away September 15, 2012, at Providence St. Mary Medical Center, 401, W. Poplar, Walla Walla, Washington. Billie was born May 30, 1928, in Fort Smith, Arkansas, to Joe Bill and Faye Audry Frisbie Matlock. On February 24, 1945, she and Henry Louis Tayson married in Yuma, Arizona. The mother of seven children, she enjoyed her role as a homemaker and faithful wife. She had a wonderful talent for fashion illustration, and loved classical music. She sang with the Melody Mothers in Klamath Falls, Oregon, moving to Walla Walla five years ago from Klamath Falls. She is survived by five daughters: Patricia Smith of Eureka, California; Michele Carter of Cedar Rapids, Iowa; Susan Tayson of College Place, Washington; Victoria Bishop of Shoreline, Washington; and Roberta Folino of Everett, Washington; her son, Robert Tayson of San Diego, California; ten grandchildren, many great-grandchildren; her niece, Melanie Cole and nephew, Bobby Matlock. She was preceded in death by her husband in 2001; and her daughter, Christine Lee Tayson. The funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Saturday, September 22, 2012, at Mountain View-Colonial DeWitt, 1551 Dalles Military Road, Walla Walla, Washington. Burial will be in the Eagle Point National Cemetery, Eagle Point, Oregon. Those serving as honorary pallbearers are Bill Carter, Wayne Bishop, Bob Smith, JJ Reed and Jeanette Tayson.
