Deepest condolences to the Zagurski family. I had the privilege of working with Tom for almost 20 years. He always had a smile on his face and was always ready to help in any way that he could. He was a good friend, and will be sorely missed.

Thomas's Obituary

Thomas Walter Zagurski, of Terryville, husband of Karen (Hennessey) Zagurski, passed away Tuesday, Feb. 23, 2021 at Bristol Hospital.Tom was born Feb. 5, 1957 in Bristol, he was the son of the late Walter Stanley and Mary Rita (Sorensen) Zagurski. He was employed as a supervisor for Raytheon of East Hartford. Tom was past president of the Terryville Lions Club, receiving the Melvin Jones Fellow, and Knight of the Blind, he was past president of Terryville Lions Country Fair, the Litchfield County Council of Fairs and The Association of Connecticut Fairs. He has been a Plymouth Town Councilman for many years and served as liaison to the Plymouth Fire Commissioner, he also served as chairman of the Plymouth Inland Wetlands Commission. He was a former 4-H leader and a FFA advisor at Wamogo Regional High School and served in many other activities with his family and the community.Besides his wife Karen, he is survived by his sons, Thomas James "TJ" Zagurski and Robin Palmer of Terryville, Raymond Zagurski and his wife January of Terryville; his daughter, Christine "Chrissy" Hjarne and her husband Charles of Stafford Springs and his two precious grandchildren, Garrett and Paige Zagurski. He was pre-deceased by his sister, Deborah Zagurski.A walk-through visitation will be held Saturday from 3 to 6 p.m. at Scott Funeral Home, 169 Main St., Terryville.
