Billy Coleman, 71 of Huddy, KY passed away on Friday, December 12, 2025, at his residence, surrounded by his family and friends. Billy was born on March 28, 1954, in Pikeville, KY, the son of the late Ira Coleman and Beulah Thompson Coleman. Billy was also preceded in death by his brothers, James Coleman, Buford Coleman and Herless Coleman, as well as an infant sister. Billy was a former coal miner working as an electrician and was also a member of the Sharondale Church of Christ.
Survivors include his loving wife, Greta Cochran Coleman of Huddy, KY; his children, Jeanette (Terry) Belcher of Sidney, KY and Michael ( Olivia) Coleman of Helena, AL; his siblings, Lushion (Jackie) Coleman of Vonore, TN, Hollis (Becky) Coleman of Pataskala, OH, Jackie (Geri Dawn) Coleman of Huddy, KY; grandchildren, Aryn (Taylor Van Hoose) Pinson, Derrick(Brooke) Coleman, Makayla (Brayden) Preece, Matthew (Chasidy) Belcher, Brady (Katelyn) Coleman, Cadelyn (Jaxon Hopper) Coleman; step grandchildren, Ashla (Dillon West) Belcher, and Austin (Jennifer) Belcher; great-grandchildren, Braylee Rae Preece, and Jepson Tate Belcher; step great-grandchildren, Jayden Micah Belcher and Evelyn Marie West; special cousin Linda Lou Howell of Huntington, WV and a host of other loving family members and friends.
Funeral service will be held on Monday, December 15, 2025, beginning at 11 AM, at Sharondale Church of Christ, with Bob Werntz officiating. Burial will follow at the Mountain View Memory Gardens in Huddy, Ky with Billy’s family and friends serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be held on Sunday, December 14, 2025, evening from 6-9 PM, at R.E. Rogers Funeral Home chapel, with special service being held at 7 PM. R.E.
