Blane Simmons was born on September 30, 1958 in Cross, South Carolina to Laura Simmons and the late Frank Simmons. He transitioned on September 22, 2021 in Columbia, South Carolina.
He was a 1976 graduate of Cross High School.
After high school, Blane joined the United States Marine Corps on August 31, 1976. He was also employed with Great Lake Container Corporation, Detroit, Michigan.
Blane was baptized in the name of Jesus on June 28, 1984 by Minister David S. Johnson of Columbia, South Carolina.
He was preceded un death by his father, Frank Simmons, his brother Frank Simmons, Jr.; his sisters, Delours Middleton and Karen Simmons.
He will be missed by his family he loved so well: his mother, Mrs. Laura Simmons; his sisters, Dorothy (Ronnie) Mitchum, Barbara Mitchum, Naomi (Bernard) Brown, Dorothy (Randy) McDaniel; his brother, Bernard Simmons. He leaves to further cherish his memories, his aunts, uncles and a host of nieces nephews and friends.
