Bob's Obituary

Bob Kincer, 90, husband of Clova Jean White Kincer, passed away peacefully on June 22, 2025, at his home in Lawrenceburg. He was born on June 23, 1934, in Whitesburg, KY, to the late Lundy Kincer and Dellah Craft Kincer.

Bob was a devoted member of First Baptist Church in Lawrenceburg and the Believers Sunday School Class. He was a proud graduate of Whitesburg High School and went on to attend Morehead State University, where he earned his bachelor’s degree and played football as a student-athlete. Mr. Kincer worked in education, serving as a physical education and business math teacher at Anderson County High School. From 1964 to 1966, he led the Bearcats as head football coach and also contributed as an assistant basketball coach, positively impacting the lives of countless students and athletes.

He later worked at Fox Creek RECC, retiring as Manager after many years of dedicated service. Bob remained active in the community as a former board member of the Anderson County Board of Education. A man who loved the outdoors, he spent many happy days golfing, playing tennis, fishing with family at Dale Hollow Lake, and tending to his small farm, especially enjoying time on his mower. He was a passionate supporter of Anderson County Athletics and rarely missed a game. Bob will be remembered for his faith, his service to others, and his enduring love for family, nature, and his community.

Including Clova, his wife for 65 years, he is survived by two daughters, Teresa (Bobby) Searcy and Pam (Randy) Stephens, all of Lawrenceburg; four grandchildren, Kasey (Drew) Gravitt, Kayla (Jacob) Sea, Kindall Searcy, and Jared (Haley) Stephens; and five great grandchildren, Weston, Gentry, Kash, Steven, and Conner.

Along with his parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, David Kincer, Jimmy Kincer, Eva Kincer, and Sally Kincer.

A memorial service will be held at 4:00 PM on Friday, June 27, 2025, at First Baptist Church, 111 North Main Street, Lawrenceburg, KY, with Dr. Robert Ehr officiating. Visitation will be held from 2:00 PM until the time of the service at the church on Friday.

Coach Kincer cherished his time as the Head Football Coach at Anderson County High School. In recognition of his passion and devotion to Bearcat Football, the family requests that memorial contributions be made in lieu of flowers to support the football team and its student-athletes. Please make checks payable to Anderson County High School Football, Attn: Coach David Buchanan, and mail to Anderson County High School, 750 West Broadway Street, Lawrenceburg, KY 40342.

Arrangements have been entrusted to Ritchie & Peach Funeral Home in Lawrenceburg. Condolences may be shared at www.ritchieandpeach.com.
