Not sure what to say?

Grandma was a very special lady to many. I wish I could have lived closer. Sending lots of love and hugs to the family and her friends.

Love Della

Bobbie was a kind and loving soul, she loved my girl's like granddaughters. She will be greatly missed. My sympathies to her family.

Bobbie was an amazing woman. We met when she sold us our first home in Fallon (1983). I will

I thought the world of Bobbie. She was such a welcome and energetic presence at the Wells Presbyterian Church. I helped her plan Halloween parties for Wells kids at Friendly Hall, and De and I made a paper mache nativity scene one year. Bobbie was always so kind and thoughtful, and my deepest sympathies go out to all her family. She will be very much missed.

Bobbie's Obituary

                                                                Roberta (Bobbie) Sue Gissel                                                               August 22, 1928 - August 9, 2024

Bobbie passed away peacefully in her sleep Friday morning.  She was preceded in death by her mother, Wanda Shannon; her sister, Patricia Shannon; her son, Fred; and her husband Harvey.  She is survived by her children: John (Bill) Gissel (Lynn), Mary Gissel, Deanna Smirnes, and Peter Gissel (Ruthann); her grandchildren Charlie, Della, Gunnar, Anne, Michael, Cody, Raymond, Keith, Holly, Faith, and 12 great-grandchildren, nieces Kathleen and Shannon, and nephew J.R.

Bobbie lived a long, full life.  She worked as a cook, waitress, bookkeeper, accountant, realtor, Mary Kay consultant, and caregiver.  She loved camping, taking walks, looking for pretty walks, crocheting, reading, and doing puzzles.  Bobbie was a devout Christian, and a member of St. John's Lutheran church in Fallon.  She will be missed by many.

Services are under the direction of Smith Family Funeral Home, and will be graveside only, per her request.  There will be a luncheon afterward at St. John's Lutheran Church, provided by the LWML (Lutheran Women's Missionary League).
