Bonnie Jean Clark, a selfless, compassionate, vibrant soul whose presence filled every room with warmth and light, passed away peacefully on October 20, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Our “Bonny Lass” came into this world in 1952 to the adoring arms of Dean and Emma Clark. In describing her parents Bonnie wrote, “Mere words could never show all of the true love and devotion I feel for them. They always made me feel that I could be or do anything. They were both the living example of true unconditional love.” Bonnie was raised in Morgan County along with her older brother Mike, who she described as her childhood hero and greatest protector. They shared a special bond that transcended the miles or years they had to be apart. Her sister Gaylene was born nearly three years after her, and they enjoyed making mud pies and fighting over clothes. Bonnie wrote of Gay, “As we grew older my sister became my very best friend, and she still is to this day! She has been my rock, my inspiration, and a great example in so many ways.” After Gaylene came Steven. Five years younger than her, Bonnie thought of him as her very own baby to take care of. Bonnie’s tender tribute to her little brother described his kind heart and patient attitude growing up, “and to this day he is still such a kind, patient and loving brother.” Each of her siblings held a special place in her heart which grew to make room for the incredible spouses they married whom Bonnie considered to be treasured friends as well. After attending high school in Morgan, Bonnie married Randy Francis. Their marriage was blessed with four children who were her greatest joy and proudest accomplishment. Clint, Chad, Tami, and Amy. Through her children, Bonnie was given her life’s greatest blessing, her grandchildren and great grandchildren. To them she wrote, “I love you with all my heart, body, and soul. There is nothing that gives me greater pleasure than to be your grandma and spend time with you.” Through life’s twists and turns she found her North Star and the love of her life. She and Jim Bickel were married 15 years ago this week. They built a life together grounded in love, laughter, and an unshakable partnership. Their love and devotion to one another was born through their life’s experiences, which made them the perfect match. Bonnie was the heart of every gathering, the encourager of every dream, and the calm in every storm. Her compassion knew no limits. She gave freely of her time, talents, and heart. Her life was devoted to loving and lifting others. Her energy and faith inspired others around her to do the same- to work hard, to believe deeply, and to love without reservation. She loved country music, a good rodeo, great food, sunshine, travel, and gathering with friends and family. Her love of God shone through in her love of life and the way she treated others. She is survived by the love of her life, Jim Bickel. Her children Clint Francis (Melanie), Chad Francis (Angie), Tami Rigby (Jared), Amy Anderson (Justin). Two stepchildren Michael Bickel, James Bickel Jr. (Danelle). 18 grandchildren, and 2 great grandchildren.Also, many nieces and nephews that she absolutely adored and held dear to her heart. She has devoted friends from Idaho to Pennsylvania and everywhere in between who were truly the family she found along the way. Especially her wine club girls and her dear friend Sharlene. Though her absence leaves an ache that words cannot fill, her legacy of love and strength will continue to comfort and guide those who knew her. Her light will forever shine in the lives she touched. A celebration of her life will be held in Bonnie’s honor, time and place to be announced later.
