Bonnie Patterson

Bonnie C. Patterson, 78, passed away on Saturday, September 6, 2025, at her home in Indianapolis, Indiana. She was born on May 3, 1947, in Rock Castle County, Kentucky, a daughter of the late Robert J. and Myrtle (Taylor) McKinney. 

She was first married to David L. Woodard in 1964 and later divorced. On July 25, 1987, she married Danny Lewis Patterson in Lexington, Kentucky. He preceded her in death on August 29, 2018.

She attended Granville Wells School. Bonnie worked as a nurses aid in nursing homes and was also a private caretaker. 

She attended Church of God of Prophecy in Jamestown. Bonnie enjoyed playing Bingo, shopping, and crafting flower arrangements for each of her family members graves.           

Survivors include her children, Randy (Jeana) Woodard and Caden (Alan) White; grandchildren, Kimberley Roth, and Amanda Thompson; five great grandchildren; brothers, Raymond (Shelly) McKinney and Olney (Sandy) McKinney; and sister, Juanita (Terry) Edwards. 

In addition to her parents and husband, Bonnie was preceded in death by her grandson, Daniel Woodard; brothers, J.B. McKinney, Truman McKinney, and Sherman McKinney; and sisters, Dollie Smith, Norma Martin, Susie Hale, and Ruby Woodall.

Funeral services are planned for 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 10, 2025, at Porter and Hunt Funeral Home, 315 W. Main Street, in Jamestown, Indiana. Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until the time of services. Interment will follow at I.O.O.F. Cemetery in Jamestown.
