Bonnie was in love with Elvis and when she heard he had pass, she was beyond herself. Jokingly my Aunt Lola told me to call her and ask Bonnie if she heard about Elvis, OMG! She screamed almost busted my eardrum. We all laughed about but poor Bonnie she was shattered. RIP BONNIE (maybe she’ll see her idol)

Bonnie Lee Rumps, age 81, passed away peacefully on October 6th, 2025 at her residence in Garden City, MI, surrounded by her loving family.
Bonnie was born on March 3rd, 1944 in Detroit, MI, to the late Thomas Hill & Delores Ramirez.
Bonnie was the beloved wife of the late Michael G Rumps for 58 years. She was the devoted mother of Gloria (Andy) Chingman, Deborah (Fred) Missel, Michael L. Rumps, Stephania (Matt) Nichols. She is a loving grandmother to 8 grandchildren and a proud great-grandmother to 11 great-grandchildren.
In addition to her parents, she is proceeded in death by her loving husband, Michael Rumps, as well as 5 of her 8 siblings.
She is survived by all of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren, and 3 of her siblings, Josie, Dorothy, and Jose.
She worked in a hospital in downtown Detroit in her younger years, and spent most of her days taking care of her family, and later worked for Bank of America where is retired. She & husband bought their forever dream home on Cambridge Lake in Onsted, MI where they enjoyed the last 15 years of life.
Bonnie enjoyed cooking new recipe's, ask anyone who knew her. Neighbors would line up at her back door, awaiting a warm homemade tortilla with butter. There was nothing she enjoyed more than cheering on any one of her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren during their sport events.
Visitation will be Friday, October 10, 2025 from 1:00-8:00 P.M. with a rosary at 7:00 P.M. The Funeral Service will be Saturday, October 11, 2025 at 1:00 P.M. All services located at Howe-Peterson Funeral Home and Cremation Services 22546 Michigan Ave. Dearborn, MI 48124.
