I am so sorry to hear of Shane's passing. He was a great friend. Even though we hadn't stayed close over the years, every time I stopped by the house, he would take time and we would talk like no time had passed.
My condolences and love to his family. They were like my own for many years.
Kathy, Brian and Tyler, I love you guys.
May God bless and guide you in this time of sadness and grief.

That Alaska fishing trip will always be one of my favorite memories. The early mornings, the cold air, the big catches, and all the laughs in between — it wouldn’t have been the same without you. I’m grateful for that time. Rest in peace, my friend.

Bradley "Shane" Maxfield, age 53, born April 12th,1972 to Brad and Kathy Maxfield. Passed away peacefully in his home while waiting to watch his beloved Seattle Seahawks on February 8th, 2026.
Shane was a beloved son, brother, father, grandfather, husband, and friend. He had great love for his family, especially his grandson, who brought him great joy. So much so that he would plan any extra time he had to hold him and make him laugh.
Beyond his family, Shane was a very passionate sports fan and it showed in every detail of his life. On first impression, you’d see him park his truck with its Seahawks green accent, sporting Seahawks-themed sunglasses and, without a doubt, a Seahawks shirt or hoodie with matching pants. If you looked closely, you’d probably even notice the matching lime green shoelaces. Football was a particular joy for him. He spent over 20 years coaching on the sidelines with his two brothers, and his intensity was unmistakable. His voice carried across the entire field encouraging the players to do their best. Beyond football, he almost loved basketball just as much. He was a devoted Utah Jazz fan and held season tickets formany years. He enjoyed inviting others to go with him when he had an extra ticket, using that time to connect and spend time together. Wrestling also held a special place in Shane’s heart. He had been a devoted weekly viewer for over 25 years and may have been one of the last people who truly followed the sport.
Beyond sports, Shane also had a great appreciation for the outdoors and spent much of his time enjoying nature. He held a deep love for hunting, especially archery. During one practice session, he achieved a rare “Robin Hood” shot, splitting one arrow with another. A moment he was very proud of, later adding it to a display case in his home. One of the things he cherished most was spending time with those he loved at the family property in the mountains of Indianola. Often gathered around the fire and sharing lighthearted conversation in the morning. Although he was never much for games, the family eventually convinced him to play dominoes a few times, and he even seemed to enjoy it.
Over the past several months, Shane was deeply proud of his recent sobriety. After many years of battling addiction, he had finally found a path that brought him clarity and peace. He often shared how much better he felt physically and emotionally, and those close to him were grateful to see him reclaiming his life with renewed hope.
Shane valued the people in his life, and his affection extended to his customers as well. He frequently remarked on how much they meant to him, and it was clear the feeling was mutual. He cherished their interactions and conversations, and their support, friendship, and affection brightened his everyday life.
Shane will be remembered by many for his wholehearted spirit, his devotion to the people he cared about, and his unwavering enthusiasm for the teams and passions that brought him joy.
He is survived by his wife, Camille; his mother, Kathy; his children, Aaron (Anna), Kenna, and Taylor; his cherished grandson, Archer; and his brothers, Brian (Rachel) Tyler (Michelle), grandparents Richard and Shirleen Maxfield, and many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He is preceded in death by his father, Brad; his grandparents, Doris and Wendell Phillips and Dave and Madge Jeremy; and his close cousin, Jake.
