Obituary

Brandon's Obituary

Brandon "Shane" Pearson, 41, of Bryant, Arkansas, formerly of Brinkley, passed away Friday, September 25, 2020. Shane was born on May 16, 1979, in Forrest City. His parents are Julie and David Rodgers of Rich, Ronnie and Cathy Denney of Alexander, and Mike Pearson of Moro. Though he is a 1997 graduate of Fountain Hill High School, he also attended Brinkley Public Schools and lived in the area the majority of his life.

Known for his distinct and infectious laugh and love of all things Razorbacks, Shane's world revolved around his daughter, Ashlyn Pearson. There's nothing he enjoyed more than spending time with her, especially at his father's home on the lake and with his family during gatherings. There's no doubt that she was his world, as he was always bragging about her to all who would listen. When he wasn't with her, and sometimes even when he was, you could find him either watching Razorback sports, messing around with new gadgets and electronics or working on his car's stereo system. He had a way to figure out anything with wires and cables! He also had a soft spot for all animals, even raising lizards and turtles as a hobby with Ashlyn.

Due to Shane's brother, Dustin's, diagnosis at a young age with Cystic Fibrosis and receiving double lungs due to organ donation, Shane easily made the decision early on to donate his organs in hopes that he can help someone else as Dustin was helped by adding years to his life. His organs (skin, tissue, etc.) were harvested and they're hopefully on their way to a more permanent home.

He is preceded in death by a brother, Dustin Pearson of Brinkley, a nephew, Dillan Matthews of Bryant, and a host of grandparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.

Survivors; Daughter, Ashlyn Pearson (mother, Michelle McCurley) of Clarendon; Parents, Julie (David)Rodgers;  Ronnie (Cathy) Denney and Mike Pearson; Grandmother, Virginia Campbell of Moro; Half-siblings, Nathan (Jennifer) Denney of Cabot, Rachel Jones (Lane) of Winslow; Step-siblings, Wendy Vinsett (Carl) of Alexander, Wade and Rodney of Florida; Many nieces and nephews and a dear friend Debora Smith.
