Brantley Clifford-Ray Eplin, 5, of Blanchard passed away on Thursday, October 2, 2025, in the arms of his Father and Mother surrounded by family. The son of Jace and Taylor Eplin, Brantley was born on November 5, 2019.
Brantley was an amazing and supportive little brother to his big sis Paris Eplin. They had the best relationship any brother and sister could have.
Brantley was born with multiple Congenital Heart Defects, which resulted in multiple Open-Heart Surgeries, at the ages of 6 months and 3 years, and procedures. He handled those surgeries like the fighter he was, including the complications that followed his surgeries. In March of 2025 Brantley was diagnosed with “Plastic Bronchitis” which is a VERY rare and VERY dangerous lymphatic complication, due to his past heart surgery. Brantley had many complications and a procedure at Dallas Children’s with these diagnoses. He never let that stop or hold him back, he always fought. August 9, 2025, everyone’s lives changed for the worst but he never gave up even on life support for 41 days Brantley fought to get better and was making progress. On September 26th Brantley had another complication which resulted in going back on life support and coding again. For the next 5 days he still fought and after he was stable to get a CT scan and the results came back, his parents had to make a decision no parent should have to make. At that time, he finally got to rest in his father and mother’s arms surrounded by family who loved him.
Brantley is survived by his Father and Mother, Jace and Taylor Eplin; his Big Sis, Paris Eplin; his PaPa and NaNa, Anthony “Tony” and Kelly McHolland, Uncle Austin “A” and Aunt Sidney “Sid” McHolland, Uncle Cory McHolland, and Aunt “Andy” McHolland; His Ball and Honey, Charity and Troy Eplin; Aunt Riley “Ry” Eplin; Aunt Brenna “B” Eplin, and Cousin Hazel Eplin. He is also survived by numerous family members and friends who loved him.
Don’t worry buddy we know you’re playing ball again with no pain or suffering. We are so proud of you and everything you accomplished in your short, yet full, 5 years of life.
Rest now our bestfriend. Mommy, Daddy, and Sissy love you so much!
