Sincere sympathy to all the Chambers family on your sad loss from John and all the Horan family in Shannon, we have many happy memories of Uncle Brendans holiday visits to Ireland, may his gentle soul rest in peace.

Our thoughts and prayers to all of the Chambers family. What an amazing man we have had the honor to know! I will never forget his energy, spunk and beautiful accent! What an amazing life he lived!!! BRENDAN's Obituary

 

BRENDAN CHAMBERS, age 96, native of Upper Skerdagh, Newport, Co. Mayo, Ireland.  Beloved husband of the late Mary Ellen (nee Leneghan).  Father of Brendan (Mary Kay), Maureen, Gerald (Susan), William (Diane) and Brian (Christine). Grandfather of Laura (Mark), Caroline (Tommy), George (Brianna), Brendan (Julie), Jason, Ryan (Kelly), Colin, Ian (Slywia), Jafin, Brian, Catherine and William "Billy." Great-grandfather of Lawrence (LJ) and Landon Wallen, Elizabeth, David, Kiernan and Charlotte Mlynarski, Amelia, Brendan, Callahan Chambers, Finn and Sophie Chambers. Son of the late Catherine (nee O'Malley) and William Chambers of Newport, Co. Mayo, Ireland. Brother of the late Patrick “Packy” (Nora), Mary Bridget McNulty (John) Kathleen Horan (Pa) Joe Chambers (Mary) John Willie Chambers, Nora Kate Chambers, and Sister Julia Chambers. Uncle and great uncle of many.  

Brendan worked for 33 years at the East Ohio Gas Company as a Superintendent.  He was a devout Catholic and had a special devotion to the Sacred Heart of Jesus and the Blessed Virgin Mary.  

Passed away at home September 8, 2025 on the birth of the Virgin Mary.  

Funeral Mass Saturday, September 13, St. Brendan Church (4242 Brendan Lane, North Olmsted) at 10 A.M.  Interment Holy Cross Cemetery.  Friends may call at CHAMBERS FUNERAL HOME of CLEVELAND, 4420 ROCKY RIVER DR. AT PURITAS, FRIDAY 2-4 & 6-8 P.M. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions are suggested to the Monastery of the Poor Clares, 3501 Rocky River Dr, Cleveland, OH 44111.
