Not sure what to say?

Dear Dick and EllaRee, so many years have passed since our paths have crossed. So many sweet memories: Dick as a little boy living next door to Stan and I, growing up, your love story and marriage, watching you both become parents with Brent and then Kurt and Sheri. My serving with EllaRee in Primary. I am so sorry for this great loss of Brent. I do not know how we work through these losses without the Gospel of Jesus Christ and knowing that Brent continues on in the Spirit world and in a few...

So sorry Dick and EllaRee. Prayers for you and your family!

Jeff just told me and I can’t say anything, but I am so sorry they’re never supposed to die before we do.. know that a lot of prayers and hugs are sent your way. I always loved your family. You are always so good at friends to veral and me and our boys

So sorry for your loss. Thishakes me up pretty bad. We were really close friends when we were young. I always miss those days. Sure would’ve wished we could’ve got closer when we got older. prayers for the family.

Brent's Obituary

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Brent Lee Petersen, aged 58, on Tuesday, June 3, 2025. Brent was born on April 6, 1967, in Murray, Utah, to Richard and EllaRee Petersen. As the eldest of three children.

Brent graduated from Bingham High School in 1985 and pursued further education at Utah State University. His professional career was marked by dedication and camaraderie, working in the Cardiac Cath Labs at St. Mark’s and Utah Regional Hospital, where he cultivated many meaningful friendships with colleagues and patients alike.

An avid sports enthusiast, Brent's passions included NASCAR, the Pittsburgh Steelers, and the Utah Hockey Club. Whether cheering from the stands or following televised games, his enthusiasm never wavered, and he rarely missed an opportunity to support his favorite teams.

Brent leaves behind his loving parents, Dick and EllaRee, his brother Kurt (Jewel), his sister Sheri Cosby (Mike), nephew Cooper Cosby, and niece Cassi Cosby. He had a kind heart. He had a love for landscaping and made sure Mom and Dad’s yard always looked tidy.

While no services will be held, we extend our heartfelt gratitude to everyone who impacted Brent’s life through friendship, mentorship, and love. Brent, you are deeply loved and will be profoundly missed by all.

Rest in peace, Brent Lee Petersen. Your legacy lives on in the hearts of those you cherished.
