Brian Joseph Holt of Rocky Hill, CT passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, August 24, 2025 at the age of 60.
Brian was born on June 9, 1965 to parents Ulmont (Joe) Holt and Susan Moon Holt of East Hampton, CT. The Holt family later relocated to Rocky Hill in 1967 where Brian grew up and spent his childhood and teenage years. Brian played varsity soccer as a Terrier with RHHS and began working on cars in his spare time as a hobby and through the high school shop class. Brian later attended Hartford Technical Institute after high school and had been a mechanic for 42 years. For the past two years he has worked as a foreman for Dattco bus company.
In recent years, Brian enjoyed spending his time working on his boat, fishing and being outdoors with his dogs, Daisy and Duke.
Brian was an avid handyman and was always the first to offer help to his friends and family with repairs. Not only was Brian incredibly knowledgeable in mechanics but he was well versed in every aspect of household repairs and maintenance from carpentry to plumbing and everything in between. He could install a counter or a carpet, hook up a water line and repair siding without hesitation. More importantly, Brian wanted to help those in his circle whenever and however he could. He will be remembered for his kind, gentle and often selfless spirit.
Brian is survived by the love of his life, his wife, Michelle Holt of Rocky Hill. The pair were friends since elementary school and reconnected later in life.
