Bruce was a cousin to me. I remember when I was 7 and he was 13. He was like a big brother relative to me for a while. To my 7 year-old self, 13 seemed so old.

Bruce Bodnar
Age 75 , of Hammond, Indiana, passed away peacefully on Thursday, August 7, 2025.
He is survived by his loving sisters, Loren Bodnar and Linda (Ron) Latham; precious fur baby dog, Colo. Preceded in death by his parents John S. Bodnar and Wanda (nee Sowinski) Bodnar; brothers, Thomas Bodnar, Raymond Bodnar and John Bodnar.
Bruce was a 1968 graduate of Hammond High School. He had a deep appreciation for the outdoors and adventure - he loved scuba diving, fishing on Lake Michigan, and watching classic Westerns. Bruce was known for his calm, steady presence - he never complained about a thing and was always a great friend to those who knew him. He also devotedly cared for his uncle Raymond in New York, showing the same quiet dedication he brought to every part of his life.
Bruce’s legacy will live on through the wonderful friendships and lives he touched.
