Bruce Collins

 Bruce Collins, 87, of Huddy, KY, passed away Saturday, August 16, 2025, at his residence.     Bruce was born May 9, 1938, in Pikeville, KY, the son of the late Wade Langley Collins and Marie Syck Collins.  He was also preceded in death by his siblings, Jack Collins, Joann Ferrell, Mildred Bennix, Melster Belcher, Justine Collins, and Paul Collins.     Bruce was a retired coal miner, member of the UMWA, and member of the First Baptist Church of Belfry.  Bruce and his grandson Bo were inseparable, and he was the apple of his eye.     Bruce is survived by his wife, Phyllis Collins, whom he was married to for 63 years.  Other survivors include his children, Bruce (Amanda) Collins II of Huddy, KY, and Margaret Hatfield; his brothers, Gary (Sharon) Collins of Pikeville, KY, and Randy Collins of Pikeville, KY; two grandchildren, Bruce "Bo" Collins III and Chasity Hatfield.  He also leaves behind a host of other loving family and friends.       Visitation for Bruce will be held Sunday, August 17, 2025, from 6 - 9 PM in the R. E. Rogers Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral services will follow on Monday, August 18, 2025, beginning at 11 AM at the First Baptist Church of Belfry with Mike McCartney officiating.  Burial will follow in the R.H. Ratliff Cemetery, Shelbiana, KY, with Bruce Collins II, Bo Collins, Gary Collins, Randy Collins, Dave Williamson, Dr. Greg Hackney, and Dane Collins serving as pallbearers.  R. E.
