Bruce's Obituary

Bruce Henry Garcia, age 59, passed away peacefully on April 29, 2025, in San Antonio, Texas, surrounded by his loving wife and children.

Born on April 30, 1965, in San Antonio, Bruce proudly served his country in the United States Navy for four years. A lifelong fan of the Dallas Cowboys, Navy football, and the Chicago Blackhawks, Bruce had a true passion for sports. He loved nothing more than barbecuing outdoors with music playing in the background — especially the sounds of Earth, Wind & Fire and Prince. He also found peace and joy in fishing, one of his favorite pastimes.

Bruce was a man of deep faith and lived as a proud Christian. He was known for his humor, generosity, and the love he shared with everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Yolanda Garcia, his son Storm Garcia, and his daughter Lauren Garcia Quintela. He was the cherished son of the late Frank Sandoval Garcia and Amelia Garcia, and brother to the late Francisco Garcia Jr. and Michael Garcia, as well as to his surviving sisters Annette Garcia and Alice Alvarado.

A funeral service to honor Bruce’s life will be held on May 14, 2025, at Hillcrest Funeral Home,1281 Bandera Rd, San Antonio, TX 78228.

Bruce will be remembered for his warm heart, his dedication to family, and the joy he brought to every gathering. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.
