Not sure what to say?

Gail and family,

I'm so sorry for your loss. I just recently and sadly learned of Bruce’s passing.

In the few short years I had the opportunity to work with Bruce, it was a truly rewarding experience. We had a great time learning from each other while solving problems as a team. Bruce was an incredibly skilled, efficient, and knowledgeable technician. More than that, he was kind, generous, and always thoughtful toward me in the workplace.

One thing Bruce told...

So sorry to hear of your husband's passing! Sounds like a life very well lived, and a beautiful family you have created together

Bruce was such a wonderful person. He was so friendly and always there to help you.

You will be missed Uncle Bruce.

May the love of friends and family strengthen during this time.

My heart goes out to the family. I'm so sorry for your loss.

Bruce's Obituary

Bruce Craig Hunter passed away on April 13, 2025, at the age of 73. He was born on August 31, 1951, at LDS Hospital in Salt Lake City, Utah, to Grace A. Vest and Horald R. Hunter. Bruce spent much of his childhood in Utah, though he also lived for a time in Washington and Idaho. He graduated from West High School and went on to study electronics and later HVAC at Salt Lake Community College.

In December of 1971, Bruce married the love of his life, Gail Pierce. They were later sealed for eternity in the Salt Lake Temple in 1973. Together, they shared 53 years of devoted marriage. They were blessed with ten children and lovingly raised nine of them. Bruce was a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

He loved the outdoors and camping. Many joyous moments were had, and happy memories were made while out on camping trips. He loved teaching others about nature and the beautiful world we live in to illustrate how gracious and loving our Heavenly Father is.

Bruce was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and it was an important part of his life. He was guided by gospel principles each time he served with love. He held several church callings and always fulfilled those callings with diligence.

He was a helper in every sense of the word. He found joy in service and purpose in giving. He tried to live and serve as the Savior taught. He showed his love through action—by showing up, pitching in, and offering whatever he had to help others. Even when his health declined and he was no longer able to do hands-on work, he never stopped finding ways to serve those around him.

Bruce was preceded in death by his 13 siblings and his beloved son, David Edward Hunter. He leaves behind a legacy of love and family: his wife Gail, and their children—Paul (Kara), Brian (Jenni), Phillip (Natalie), Sarah (Wade), Rachel (Michael), Daniel (Brisa), Adam, Elizabeth (James), and Abigail (Jeremy)—along with 26 grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

We are so grateful for the time we had with him on this earth and find peace in knowing that we will be reunited with him once more. His kindness, strength, and quiet generosity will live on in the hearts of all who knew him.
