Bruce Alan Petty, 40, of Sanger, peacefully passed away in Denton, Texas, with his family at his side on February 26, 2026.
Born in Denton, Texas on April 26, 1985, Bruce was the oldest child of Karina Tucker and Joel Bruce Petty. He attended school in Sanger and was a graduate with the Class of 2003. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Sanger and was employed as a Risk Management Property Inspector for P2 Risk Management in Fort Worth.
Bruce was known for his patience, strength, and calm spirit. He was a natural peacemaker and deeply loyal to his friends and family. He was also a devoted Dallas Stars fan. Bruce loved to read—especially mystery and action thrillers—and was known by many as “the human Google.” Once he learned something, he never forgot it. He also enjoyed playing video games with his friends.
Above all, Bruce loved his family. he was a devoted son, grandson, brother, but most importantly, he was the best “Uncle B” to Luke, Sam, and Reese, a role that meant the world to him.
Bruce was preceded in death by maternal grandparents, Bobby and Janis Tucker, and paternal grandparents, Estil and Wanda Petty. Remaining to cherish his memory are his mother, Karina Tucker of Sanger; father and stepmother Joel and Rhonda Petty of Meadville, MS; sisters, Lauren Williams and husband Andy of Sanger and Joanna Petty of Meadville, MS; and brother Clint Petty of Meadville, MS.
