Bryan was a kind hearted guy. I'm sorry for your loss. May he rest in peace and rock the heavens!

I went to school with Brian North end and Kaynor tech ! He was a great person to be around as talk to! He was a Beatles fan so we talked a lot about music! Brian was a drummer so he enjoyed music very much! It was pretty shocking when I heard the news of his passing and still is . He will be in my thoughts!

Very sad to learn of the passing of Bryan. He was a good dude with a kind heart.

I deeply saddened to hear about Bryan. He was such a beautiful spirit. I will never forget him. I often saw him at Arbys and around town. He was such a fun student while at Kaynor and I know he touched so many people.

I am so sad to hear of Bryan's passing. We met him at First Lutheran Church where he was a member for a while. I thought of him a few weeks back when I saw a macaroon cookie. Bryan made macaroon cookies for a coffee hour at church and they were the best tasting macaroons I have ever tasted. He said he used his Jewish grandmother's recipe and her special macaroon tool. Jack, Maggie and I are very sorry to hear of Bryan's passing. We heard over the weekend at a Grange event. He really liked the Grange and his new friends and was committed to the organization. We will miss him. Hope to see you sometime.

Waterbury Bryan David Kaplan “Loving son and member of many organizations” Mr. Bryan David Kaplan, also known as "Chopper", age 39, of 174 Pembroke Avenue, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday October 12, 2016 at his residence. Bryan was born in Waterbury on November 12, 1976, son of Jacob “Jack” Kaplan and the late Deborah A. (Maglio) Kaplan. He graduated from North End Middle School and W. F. Kaynor Technical High School class of 1995. He earned two associate degrees from Naugatuck Valley Community College in Hospitality Management and Food and Beverage Management. He was employed at Arby’s Restaurant in Southington, and Market 32 in Oxford. Bryan was very active in the Boy Scouts Organization and was an Eagle Scout. He was a member of the 2nd, Company Governors Foot Guard as a top Sergeant First Class of the Quarter Masters Unit and Supply. He was a member of the U.S. Coast Guard Auxiliary held Security Status of B Q. He was a member of the Beacon Valley Grange of Naugatuck. Bryan loved to read and was very knowledgeable and self-taught from it. He was an avid Beatles enthusiast, a New York Yankee’s Fan, and an old movie buff to say the least. Besides his father he leaves his father’s fiancée; Judith M. Ventura of Waterbury, his great uncle; Samuel B. Kaplan of Rotunda West, FL, several cousins and a host of close friends and comrades. He will be greatly missed by all who knew him. Arrangements: A Graveside Service celebrating Bryan’s life will be held Saturday October 22, 2016 at 11 a.m. at All Saints Cemetery 203 Spring Lake Road Waterbury. Everyone is asked to meet directly at the cemetery. There are no calling hours.
