Bryan Eugene Wiseman, passed away on December 12, 2025, in Pierre, South Dakota. Born on February 7, 1958, in Madison, South Dakota, to Maynard Duane and Marie Elizabeth “Betty” (Baumiester) Wiseman.
Services will be held at Isburg Funeral Chapel, Pierre, SD on Friday, December 19, 2025 at 11:00 a.m. Funeral services will also be held at Heritage Funeral Home, Sioux Falls, SD on Saturday, December 20, 2025, at 11:00 a.m. with family present one hour prior for visitation.
Bryan grew up in Junius, SD and attended school in Madison, graduating in 1976. On August 26, 2005, Bryan married the love of his life, Ann Elizabeth (Dimond), in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Together, they built a life filled with laughter, love, and a wide network of family and friends.
Professionally, Bryan was the respected owner of Bryan Wiseman General Contracting, Inc., where he was known for his leadership and integrity. He was a builder with vision that allowed him to anticipate and adapt to changes. His contributions to the industry were recognized through his active involvement with the Sioux Falls Home Builders Association from 2003 to 2017. Bryan quickly became bored in retirement which ignited a civic-minded spirit that led him to serve as Treasurer on the Spring Creek/Cow Creek Sanitary District board from 2020 to 2024. Faced with an aging 25 year old system he used his financial acumen and relationship building skills to bring the community a new water tower and sewer system.
Family who preceded Bryan in death are his father and mother, Maynard and Betty Wiseman, his dearly loved brothers Randy and Lee Wiseman and his right-hand, his son Joshua “Josh” Wiseman.
Bryan’s legacy will be carried on by his daughters, Elizabeth and Sarah Wiseman. His eight grandchildren – Stella, Jack, Mark, Caitlyn, Aimee, Evalynn, Samiah and Zareah and a great-grandchild, Ariella. He is survived by his brother Gerry and their nephews – Chuck, Anthony (Tony), Tom, Rick and Rob, all Wiseman through-and-through.
Bryan’s journey through life was one of purpose and impact. His ability to build lasting relationships, willingness to help and infectious smile and laugh endeared him to all who knew him. His presence will be deeply missed, but his spirit will continue to inspire those who were fortunate enough to have known him.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be placed in Bryan’s name with Blood Cancer United or the Arbor Day Foundation.
