I was blessed to be embraced by Ms. Callie while I was a student at Oakland University. Her memory will remain with me.

Callie's Obituary

Callie Edison was born on January 22, 1942, in Coldwater, Mississippi, to the late Ernest Lee Sr. and Birdie Bobo Lee.  On February 28, 2026, she peacefully transitioned at the age of 84.  She was also was preceded in death by her brothers and sister: Prisley,  Robert (Sharon), Archie (Clara), Mal (Clara), John (Mary), Timothy, Roger, Ernest, Manuel, and Helen.

She leaves to cherish her memory her children: Linda (Reggie) Green, George Coleman Jr., and Morgan Coleman, she also leaves behind her grandchildren: LaToya (Dion) Butler, Quanequa Coleman, Tiffany Green, Blake Coleman, Kara Coleman, Chauncey Terry; and her great-grandchildren: Gavin Butler, Raelyn Houston, Royalty Houston, and Quavion Taylor.

Callie Edison will lie in state on Friday, March 13, 2026 from 12:00 PM to 6:00 PM at Cobbs Funeral Home, 151 Orchard Lake Road, Pontiac, Michigan.

Homegoing services will be held Saturday, March 14, 2026 at Bible Fellowship Christian Church, 1106 Joslyn Ave., Pontiac, Michigan.  Family Hour will be from 10:00 AM to 10:30 AM, followed by the service at 10:30 AM.  Interment will follow at Perry Mount Park Cemetery.
