Camilo C. Castrence, Sr., 83, passed away on September 29, 2016 due to a recent diagnosed of terminal illness at Gardena, California, USA. Camilo was born on August 29, 1933 in Bolinao, Pangasinan, Philippines and married the former Beatriz C. Lazo (deceased). Camilo worked for more than 40 years at New Bilibid Prison (Philippine National Penitentiary) and retired as Chief of Records Dept. He was an active member of Knight of Columbus and at their community church Ina ng Awa. He was loyal and exceptionally devoted husband to his wife. Since Camilo and his wife got married and began a family early in their lives, his dream of higher education as a lawyer was unfinished. As a result of his own unfinished education, he made sure that all his 10 (ten) children graduated from college. In spite of being busy with his family and work, he still found time to enjoy raising champion roosters. Camilo oldest son Severino (Boying) Castrence, passed away in 1995. Surviving children Desiree C. Hathaway of Massachusetts, Nancy C. Tabernilla of Philippines, Raul L. Castrence of Singapore, Camilo L. Castrence, Jr. of Philippines, Michael Joy L. Castrence of New York, Gloria C. Onia of California, Jessica C. Caampued of California, Jose L. Castrence of California and Rizalde L. Castrence of Philippines. Also survived by his daughter and son in laws, grandchildren and great grandchildren, brothers, sisters, nephews and nieces. A special thanks to Providence Little Company of Mary Hospital, Rosecrans Care Center and Reliance Hospice, Gardena for their loving care and support.
