I was deeply shocked and saddened to hear of Carl’s passing. I will always remover him for the sparkle in his eye, his passion for what he believed in, and his care and concern for others. The world has lost a little of its luster, but the heavens are shinning a little brighter. Please accept my heartfelt condolences.

I was very much taken back and saddened of hearing about Carl. I first met Carl in 1985 as my Branch supervisor. He always looked out for me and guided me along the career path. I retired under Carl in '04 and again just last month for Raytheon. He always had a warm smile and greeted me with "Roberto". I will truly miss him and with sincerest condolences to Lisa and family. May God be with you and provide support during this time of sorrow//Bob.

As you know Lisa, I served with Carl in various overseas locations and knew him to be intelligent with a great work ethic, a sense of humor as corny as my own and a very honorable person. Which is why I jumped at the chance to lure him to work for Raytheon when he retired from the government. He played an integral part in our Program’s success. We will all miss him so much and I am so saddened that you and your family lost him so abruptly and early in life. Semper Fidelis my Marine brother!

To the Humpton family — I’m so very sorry for your loss. I worked with Carl in Dulles VA until 2016 and I live in Colorado Springs now. He truly was a wonderful human being, generous and kind, and it was an honor to work with him. I pray that happy memories will occupy your days as you navigate this huge loss.
Godspeed Carl ❤
