Carl Ray Jeffers, 72, of Clifton, WV, suddenly passed away Friday, September 19, 2025, at Holzer Meigs Emergency Department, Pomeroy, Ohio.
He was born January 8, 1953, in Clifton, a son of the late Homer and Alma (Vanmeter) Jeffers.
Carl was a retired coal miner and plant operator for Sporn and enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandkids. As a graduate of Wahama High School, Carl remained a loyal fan of the school’s athletes. Whether the court, field, or course, he took great joy in watching the teams play and supported them throughout the years.
Survivors include his wife of 51 years, Vicki Jeffers; son, Joshua (Laura) Jeffers; daughter, Carla (Craig) Weaver; 11 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, many nieces and nephews, and a special friend, Henry Vanmeter.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 – 7:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 23, 2025, at Foglesong-Casto Funeral Home, Mason, WV.
