Although, I don't remember Carlos, I am sure we met at the Rudy's BBQ on Hwy 151 about 8/9 years ago. My Mother Adela Cepeda Moreno and his Mother were cousins. His Grandmother, my Tia Chepita and my Grandfather Federico Cepeda were brother and sister. My sincere condolences the entire family, spouse, children, siblings. Carlos Salazar, Sr., born December 28, 1958, fortified with the Sacraments of Holy Church celebrated by his brother, Father Edd Salazar, SJ, with family members present, went to be with the Lord October 8, 2018. Survived by his wife, Norma Raz Salazar (and her brothers Rudy Raz, wife Margarita RIP & Juan Raz, wife, Gloria, her sisters Minerva, husband Pedro Sanchez, Leticia, husband Benjamin Puente, Herlinda, husband Roberto Ruiz, Emilia RIP, husband Ignacio Ruiz & Blanca, husband Heliodoro Sanchez RIP, daughter, Veronica Linda Salazar (husband Daniel C. Gomez, their children Evangelina Marie, Julian Daniel & Daniel Carlos.), son, Carlos Jr. RIP 1/05/07 (Vivian Campos & son, Johnathan Parker Salazar). Carlos’s siblings are Grace, husband, Joe Leos & Valerie, husband Henry Juarez, Fabiana, husband Robert Rios, Ernest, wife, Martha, RIP, Edward, ordained a Jesuit priest at Our Lady of Guadalupe, Helotes, Texas, 1974 & son of Henry Salazar, Sr. & Adelaide Sanchez of Helotes, RIP, Esther O’Brien (John, RIP), Edmund, RIP, (Wife, Lisa), William, RIP, Henry Salazar, Jr., wife Kathey, RIP, Estelle, husband, Mario Alonzo, RIP, & numerous nephews & nieces.
He is the beloved grandson of Andres & Felipa Camacho Salazar of Leon Valley, beloved son of Henry Salazar, Sr. & wife, Aurora Saenz; beloved nephew of Margarito Salazar, RIP, wife Linda, Gregorio Salazar, RIP, wife Pitti, Aunt Herminia Salazar, husband, Ramon Rodriguez, RIP, and Alfred Salazar, RIP, wife Aunt Gloria Sepulveda. Carlos also has numerous cousins as well as family members on his wife’s side in Laredo, Texas and in Laredo, Mexico.
Carlos Salazar’s life and loves will be celebrated and commemorated at a Sunday Mass for family and friends, at 5:00 pm on October 14, 2018 at the Parish and Regional Shrine of Our Lady of Guadalupe, 1321 El Paso Street, 78207, followed by a pot-luck meal & reception in the parish hall.
