Carmelita Ann (Castro) Robertson, 72, of Newcastle, passed away in Oklahoma City, on Wednesday, October 15, 2025. The daughter of Charlotte Louise (Kyzer) Saylor and Tony Jiminez Castro, Sr., Carma was born on November 26, 1952, in Oklahoma City.
Carma grew up in Warr Acres and attended school at the Putnam City Schools. Carma worked for GM then transferred to AT&T where she met the love of her life, Michael Dean Robertson. She and Mike were married on April 6, 1979, in Gainesville, Texas. Carma was a homemaker for many years but also worked at several different jobs in her life. She was a nail tech, housecleaner, babysat and worked at the vo-tech. She also volunteered in several areas at her church, Jesus Alive, in Newcastle. She was always cleaning the building, working a fundraiser or working with the youth.
Extravagant was the word that described Carma in almost every area of her life. She always “dressed to the nines,” and loved to redecorate her house all the time. Both of those were probably a direct result of her love of shopping, whether in person or on-line. She trained her granddaughters in her shopping skills anytime she had the opportunity. Carma also loved to cook before she became ill and every holiday was complete with her homemade baked goods and delicious dishes. Carma will be greatly missed by all of her family and friends.
Carma is preceded in death by her parents, Charlotte Saylor and husband Ronnie and Tony Castro, Sr.; son, Michael Secrest, Jr.; sister, Mary Perkins; brother, Butch Underwood; Grandma Bessie; and her in-laws, Margaret Robertson and Owen Robertson.
Carma is survived by her loving husband, Mike Robertson of Newcastle; son, Jeremy Robertson of Norman; daughters, Misti Keene of Texas, Stephanie Johnson and husband Christopher of Tuttle and Rebekah Keester and husband David of Jones; seven grandchildren, Matthew Trusty, Nicole Ernest, Myam Daniel, Jalyn McCrory, Myiah Robertson, Ryan Keester and Lily Keester; six great grandchildren, Haley Daniel, Lyla Daniel, Clayton Daniel, Jonathon Ernest, Neva Grace Ernest, and Landyn McCrory; three brothers, Tony Castro, David Castro and Tommy Castro; four sisters, LaDonna Wooldridge, Linda Harris, Sonya Codding, and Tonya Smith; and many other family member and friends.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M., Tuesday, October 21, 2025, at the Eisenhour Funeral Home Chapel in Blanchard. Burial to follow in Newcastle Memorial Gardens. Arrangements are under the direction of Eisenhour Funeral Home of Blanchard. Online obituary and guestbook are available at www.eisenhourfh.com.
