Dear family of Carol (Borkowski) Cekala, My cousin Johnny Smolinski [in FLA] just alerted me to your mother and grandmother's death about 6 months ago. I was never close to her; but I knew her dad Felix Borkowski from my many trips to Terryville as a youngster [1946 thru '59] with my dad Nikodem Smolinski, the brother of Mrs.Adam Tanski. I remember talking with Felix every time we filled up with gas at his gas station. Anyway my prayers are with you, as you continue to grieve her passing...

To my cousin Carol's family and friends, I extend my sincere sympathy as you grieve her loss. Although, like her, I was born in Terryville and raised there for two years with my closer cousins in the Adam & Czeslawa Tanski family, I grew up in New Britain and rarely saw Carol, in my late teens and early twenties, I always stopped at Felix Borkowski's gas station to fuel up and catch up on happenings there and in the Mary and Alex Smolinski families. May our Savior Jesus Chriest welcome her...
