Carol was a dear friend from a long ways back. She was such a sweet lady and she loved to sing. Sure will miss her.

Carol's Obituary

Carol Dudding, 86, of Reedsville, OH, passed away September 5, 2025, at her home. 

She was born October 1, 1938, in Nitro, WV, a daughter of the late Dennis L. Dudding and Nellie Marie Dudding. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by husbands, Charles Edward Scyoc and Elmer McFarland; brothers, Carl, Gale, and Willis Dudding; and a sister, Juanita Ward.

 

She was a teacher’s aide at New Haven Elementary School, and attended Bethel Worship Center, Reedsville, OH. Carol volunteered for the Mason County Farm Museum and as a voting poll worker. She was a prayer warrior and loved crocheting, doing puzzles, southern gospel music and especially her animals.

 

Survivors include her sons, Thomas A. (Amanda) Scyoc of Tuppers Plains, OH, Troy (Melissa) Scyoc of Long Bottom, OH and Edward Charles (Martha) Scyoc of Keswick, VA; daughters, Cindy (Mitch) Tichner of Dyke, VA and Marie Scyoc of St. Albans, WV; one brother, Jimmy (Barbara) Dudding, Mason, WV, 12 grandchildren and 11 great grandchildren.

 

Family will accept visitors from 1 p.m. until the time of service ~ Saturday, October 4, 2025, at Bethel Worship Center, 39782 Oh-7 Reedsville, Ohio 45772. Service of Remembrance will begin at 1:45 p.m. Light refreshments will be provided immediately following the service.
