Carol “Tally” Dunn 66, loved Kimball, WV with every vibrating cell in her light-filled body. On December 10, 1959, Tally’s mother, Ardelia Lipscomb-Robinson, gave birth to her in a taxi on the way from Elkhorn to Welch. Tally was born in motion, and her kindness and generosity will stay in motion because everyone she loved, and who loved her, will carry on everything she did. Her brightness shined through her food, through her conversations, through her glowing smile, and how she made everybody feel at home. The world is a better place from having Tally in it. She was the glue that held a lot of families together, while maintaining her own. She worked as a cook in the school system for over twenty years and loved each kid like her own. She also volunteered with non-profit organizations. In addition to her parents and husband, Stanley “Pops” Isabelle, those preceding her in death include her sisters, Anna Robinson and Gloria Woods. Living siblings are Carl Lipscomb, Larry Robinson, Ronald Lipscomb, Renee Isabelle, Eloise Isabelle, Ricky Nemore and Robert Isabelle. She was the mother of Ashley Isabelle, Keshia Dunn, and Steven Dunn, and a mother figure to LaToya Isabelle, LaVar Isabelle, and Tylah Cline. Her grandchildren are Jada Dunn, Jhu’syre Martin, Ociani Poole, Jaden Stigall, Summer Isabelle-Stigall, Ever Saulibio, Aunica Isabelle-Stigall, and Zava Isabelle. She had close nephews who were like her sons, Ricardo Woods, Brady Woods, Grady Woods, Joseph Woods, Larry Robinson, Carl Lipscomb Jr., Cory Lipscomb, and Drew Lipscomb. The family will hold a Celebration of Life cookout at 1:00 p.m. on Saturday, April 4, 2026 in downtown Kimball.
