Not sure what to say?

We hired Carol in 1986 to develop and open the new Huron Area Technical Center. Carol was the instructor for the Child and Adult Care program. She set up the curriculum which included a preschool program and we opened our new school in the fall of 1986. I was a fellow educator with Carol and always enjoyed working with her. She was a good educator.

Carol's Obituary

Carol Ann (Krug) Hart, 82, of Bad Axe, Michigan, passed away peacefully

on January 27, 2026. She was the beloved wife of Gerald E. Hart, with whom

she shared many years of love before his passing in April 2025. Together

they enjoyed dinners out, quiet time at home, and the joy of family.

Carol was a devoted mother to Jayme (Lauren) and Stacy (Chiwei) Lee,

and nothing brought her more pride than being “Grandma” to Alexander

(AJ), Vincent, Miles, and Davis. Time spent with her grandchildren

– whether visiting, helping, or simply being together – was among her

greatest joys.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents, John “Jack” and Blanche

“Twiggy” Krug. She is lovingly remembered by her sister, Estella Tyll; her

sisters-in-law, Cheryl DeChane, Darlene Davis, and Linda (Bill) Steinman;

her brother-in-law, Terry (Annette) Tschirhart; and many nieces and

nephews who were dear to her heart.

A proud graduate of Michigan State University, Carol dedicated several

years to serving in the Michigan school system. Teaching was more than

a career – it was an expression of her deep care for others. She had a

lifelong love of learning and could often be found cooking for family, solving

crossword puzzles, enjoying trivia, or quietly helping someone in need.

A private memorial service and celebration of life will be held at a

later date. In honor of Carol’s generous and caring spirit, the family invites

friends to honor her memory by performing a small act of kindness within

their community.
