Grandma Carol was really nice and never said anything negative about anyone.

Carol Ann Langworthy

Born September 30, 1937

Date of Passing: August 9, 2025

Carol Ann Langworthy, age 87, of Cincinnati, OH, passed away peacefully on August 9, 2025 surrounded by her loving family. Born on September 30, 1937 in Detroit, MI to Charles and Mary Grant, she grew up with a strong sense of family, faith, and community. Carol was a long-time Cincinnati resident and worked providing patient care as a Nurses Aid where she made a positive impact on many lives. She devoted her life to raising her five children — one daughter and four sons — and took immense pride in seeing them develop into the great people they are today.

Carol was preceded in death by her parents. She is survived by her children: Leon Grant (Sherri), Terry Langworthy (Mary Beth), Mary Jo Kaminsky, John Langworthy (Amy), and Matthew Langworthy (Caroline), as well as 12 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren who lovingly called her Grandma.

She found great joy spending time with friends and cherished every moment spent with her family. She was known as kind, strong, selfless, and eternally optimistic and she had a lasting impact on the lives of everyone who knew her.

A Graveside Service will be held on August 14, 2025 at Arlington Memorial Gardens at 2:30 the 23rd Psalm Garden, 2145 Compton Road, Cincinnati, OH 45231. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, September 27th from 11:00-2:00pm at Green Township Senior Center, 3620 Epley Ln, Cincinnati OH 45247.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to either People Working Cooperatively (https://www.pwchomerepairs.org/) or Friendship Baptist Church (https://www.ourfbc.com/) in Honor of Carol Ann Langworthy. People Working Cooperatively helped Carol with many home improvements that helped her live independently and Friendship Baptist Church provided Carol great comfort in her strong faith and supportive church family.

She was a shining light for everyone she touched, and she will be deeply missed and forever remembered. And as Carol would often say after a visit or discussion - “Bye for now” - knowing they would meet again…
