Carol Lorraine Shulson

Carol Lorraine Shulson, 85, wife of George D. Shulson, Jr. and a resident of Tyner, NC , formerly of Norfolk, passed away peacefully Wednesday, February 5, 2014. Born on July 8, 1928 in Ohio, she was the daughter of the late Benjamin and Gertrude Barnes. Carol was a LPN and retired from the Brian Center in Edenton, NC. She was a Lutheran.Other than her husband of 63 years, she is survived by three sons, Dennis Shulson of Tyner, NC, Tom Shulson and his wife Marji of Virginia Beach, VA, Bruce Shulson and his wife Karla of Vero Beach, FL; two brothers, Wayne and Glen Barnes; three sisters, Janice Meeks, Jean June, and Marilyn WaleschFive grandchildren, Jeff and Greg Shulson, David Powell, Shelby McKee, Holly Shulson ; Seven great grandchildren, Evan Likert, Dylan Moxley, Victoria McKee, Lewis, Carmen, RJ and Maddie Powell.She was predeceased by two brothers, Bob and Russ Barnes and a sister, Arlene Segedi.A graveside service will be Monday, February 10, 2014 at 10:00 am at Woodlawn Memorial Gardens in Norfolk with Rev.
