Carole Cook Denney, 68, of Woodbury, GA died Thursday, February 2, 2012 at the Warm Springs Medical Center, Warm Springs.Funeral services for Mrs. Denney will be 2:00 pm Sunday, February 5, 2012 at the First Baptist Church, Manchester with Rev. Craig Williamson officiating the services. Burial will be in the Meriwether Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 5:00-7:00 pm Saturday evening at the funeral home.Mrs. Denney was born August 29, 1943 in Atlanta, GA the daughter of James Clifford and Pauline Parten Cook. She was the retired Administrative Assitant to the Executive Director for the Roosevelt -Warm Springs Institute for Rehabilitation. Mrs. Denney was a member of the First Baptist Church, Manchester and the Georgia State Retiree's Association. She was preceded in death by her parents and sister Deborah Cook.She is survived by her husband: Frankie E. Denney, of Woodbury; daughter Erin Denney Young and her husband Danny of Warm Springs; Son: Jarrod Denney and Stephaine, Taylor and Lauren Dunn of Meansville, GA ; brother Cary Cook and his wife Ann Marie of Peachtree City, GA, step-granddaughter, Jill Young and a nephew, Eric Cook. In Lieu of flowers contributions may be given in memory of Carole Cook Denney to the First Baptist Church, Manchester benevolence fund or the Meriwether County Humane Society.
