Carol was a very sweet girl I got to know & love very much. She was beautiful, a bright shining star who burnt out to quickly. Everyone she met loved her. She was a beautiful granddaughter & friend who made u laugh & cry, we had so much fun together from going swimming to caring for her 2 beautiful boys. She was a great mother & care giver, she loved her 2 boys Braxton & Noah. We are gonna miss u so very much. I love u & will see u one day up in Heaven Carol till then keep watching over us...

Carolyn's Obituary

Carolyn Renee Bubnick, age 24, of Somerset, KY., passed away on Sunday, October 24, 2021 at Lake Cumberland Regional Hospital.

Carolyn was born on September 1, 1997 in September 1, 1997 in Somerset, KY., to Jason Smith and Jamie Lee Gosser. Carolyn got saved and was baptized at Woodstock Baptist Church. She was a 2015 Somerset High School graduate and enjoyed swimming, dancing, and doing crafts.

She is survived by her husband, Austin Bubnick; two sons, Braxton Tyler Lee Stepp and Noah Storm Gosser; her parents, Jason Smith of Dayton, OH and Jamie Lee Gosser of Somerset, KY; half brother, Thomas Smith of Somerset; stepdad, Jerol “Jerry” Stepp of Jacksonville, FL; one brother, Jerry Lee Stepp of Jacksonville, FL: a grandmother, Paula Gosser of Nancy, KY; an aunt, Jennifer Gosser of Nancy; an uncle, Jeffrey Gosser of Lexington; her step-grandparents, Carolyn & Jerol Stepp of Bronston and a special friend, Destiny Owens.

Carolyn was preceded in death by her grandparents, Clifton and Carolyn Gosser and Crystal Wright, and a great-grandmother, Dorothy Smith.

Visitation will be held on Thursday, October 28, 2021 from 10:00am until 11:00am at Lake Cumberland Funeral Home.

Her funeral service will follow on Thursday at 11:00am at the Chapel of Lake Cumberland Funeral Home with Bro. Guy Crubaugh officiating. Burial will be at Tarter Cemetery.
