Not sure what to say?

I am so sorry for your loss, I was on the Livestock committee with Carolyn and Jerry for the duration of their HLSR volunteerism. I happened to be the officer for most of their service that scheduled them; I also became their friend. I became their friend because they both had the most beautiful spirit. Carolyn always had positive attitude no matter where they were placed in the cattle arena/barn or how long they worked as long as they worked together. They also never missed the camaraderie...

Ms Lisa I am so sorry to read this about your sweet mother! She was always so kind and helping with girls when you were there cheer coach ! You and your family will be in my prayers!

Carolyn's Obituary

Carolyn Sue Maguire was born December 15th, 1947 in Harris County, Texas and passed away surrounded by her children and grandchildren on August 14th, 2025 in Shenandoah, Texas.

Carolyn was a hairdresser for over 50 years owning her own salon in Trinity, where many clients became not just friends but family. One of her favorite pastimes was attending and volunteering at The Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo along with her husband Jerry Maguire. Carolyn and Jerry faithfully served the Livestock Committee for 25 years, both becoming Lifetime Members. Many treasured memories were made over the years at the HLS&R from riding rides with all the Grandkids to working the events with friends that became family.

Carolyn loved flowers and plants, decorating, shopping trips with her granddaughters, Mexican food, thrifting and antiquing, spending holidays with her family and spending time with her friends. She and Jerry enjoyed traveling in their RV with their dog Casper, where many times a grandkid would join them. Carolyn was kind and compassionate, extending grace and love to everyone. Above all else, she loved her family and friends.
