Not sure what to say?

I was shocked and so sorry to hear of Carolyn's passing. My sincere condolences to all the family. Love & prayers. Eva

We were so sadden to hear of your mom's sudden passing. From Fred's early days of working with Lester on the Atlantic Clipper, Carolyn treated us like family and we made a point to stop in for a visit whenever we returned home to Newfoundland and what a joy to be able to connect with her in Ontario as well! We were always welcomed with a warm hug and a smile (and if we timed it right, her famous 'toddies'). She will be sorely missed and we pray God's comfort on your family as you walk...

Thinking of you all during this difficult time. I have heard nothing but incredible stories about your wonderful mother and grandmother, there’s no doubt she was incredibly proud of the amazing family she raised, wishing you all peace at this time.

Aunt Carolyn is my great aunt. I'll always remember how warm her house was and good it smelled to walk into it. She knew her way around a kitchen and you could tell she put so much love into everything she made. That's why it tasted so good! She also gave the best hugs. Such a sweet lady. I'm glad she's with her siblings and husband now. Sending lots of love all those who are mourning her loss.

Aunt Carolyn was a special, lovely soul. She had endless love to give to others, with room on her lap for every small child and a hug for anyone lucky enough to be with her. We had a wonderful visit with her last summer, and heard all about every grandchild and great-grandchild that she loved so much.

Karen, Donna, Glenn and Renelle, hoping you find comfort being together and hearing from so many how loved your mother was.

Praying for all the family at this time. A very special lady to me as many childhood memories are fondly remembered at your family house by the pond. Smiles, hugs, laughter, joy, acceptance and love. Always lots of food. Being a child I always felt welcomed and loved when we visited.
May you all find peace strength for today and comfort in the days ahead.

Dear Karen, Donna, Glenn, and Renelle,

You are very much in my thoughts and prayers at this time. So sad to hear of Aunt Carolyn’s passing. I still remember the warm reception we always received when we stopped by the house by the pond in my childhood years. She was truly a kind and generous person.

Karen, Donna, Glen, Renelle and the extended family
Saddened to hear of your mom’s passing. Please accept our sincere condolences.
From the time she arrived in Port de Grave as Miss Balsom till last chat with her at the church in Port de Grave just a few weeks ago it was always a joy to see her. So down to earth and positive with that friendly smile. Your new normal will be a hard adjustment but I’m certain your many pleasant memories of a life well spent will ease the journey

Donna, Lindsay, Adam, Mark and the Petten family. We were saddened to hear the news of Carolyn's passing and offer our sincere condolences on this most difficult day. Carolyn was such a friendly woman and we always enjoyed our conversations when in her company. While her passing will leave a void in your daily lives, rest assured that you will see her again.
